The McClendon House could be the perfect meeting place for your Wedding, Baby or Bridal shower, Bridge club, Mahjong group, Garden club, family reunion or other small groups of up to 30 to 35 people.
Arrangements can also be made for coffees, teas, lunch, dinner, receptions or other food service. We offer in house catering as well as working with other local providers.
Looking for a place to hold your holiday party? Why not consider the historic McClendon House located in Tyler, Texas. Built in 1878, this beautiful Victorian home offers you the warmth of an old fashioned holiday. You are in a big home with all the rooms to mill around in, not just one big room. You may bring in your own refreshments or your own caterer.
For just $100.00 per hour (minimum two hours) you can relax and forget the outside worries of the world and pretend you are back in another time. Think about the McClendon House for your party. A $200 refundable deposit will hold your date.

The Bonner-Whitaker-McClendon House, built in 1878, received designation as a Tyler Historic Landmark in 1984. Also recorded as a Texas Historic Landmark the house is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Of the 76 homes or buildings listed in the Tyler Register of Historic Places, only two are available for tours: The Goodman-Le-Grand Home which is owned and operated as the Goodman Museum by the city of Tyler and the McClendon House which is self-financed and self-sustaining.
